Mariam Aurangzeb, in one of her frequent moments of inspiration, has said that, despite the fact that the members of the Judiciary had used terms GODFATHER and SICILIAN MAFIA for Mian Nawaz Sharif and company, the dismissed Prime Minister and his family are very GRACIOUSLY appearing before the courts.
This lady to me gives appearance of a grownup naughty, and simple baby who when speaks, looks more like a programmed robot than a human.
The poor innocent lady has not been told by anybody that no person accused of a crime or crimes and under trial, has any other option than to appear before the courts when required and ORDERED. The only other option is to INVITE handcuffs and jail.
The innocence of Mariam Aurangzeb and the crush-judiciary oratory of Talal Chaudhry can be matched only by Mian Nawaz Sharif’s total lack of common sense—-manifested in his statements regarding his lack of comprehension about what the charges are against him and why he is being tried. Even a person with very elementary knowledge will know, after reading the charge-sheet against Mian Nawaz Sharif, why he is under trial.
One hopes that as the trial moves on, Mian Nawaz Sharif will know why his innocent statements cannot become his evidence of innocence in the cases of astronomical corruption. A stage will come when Mariam Aurangzeb may be telling the media: “Look how law-observing our leader is. He has gladly accepted to go to jail.”
This piece will not be complete without mentioning Khwaja Saad Rafique’s most recent statement.
He has said: “Everyone should act to save democracy.”
By everyone he clearly meant THE JUDGES as well.
I think if to overlook crimes is the only way of saving democracy—-the courts should be disbanded.
