ISLAMABAD, April 26: Finance Minister Miftah Ismail has said that Pakistan’s US dollar-denominated bonds are a great investment.
The finance minister said this in a tweet on Tuesday. The federal minister, along with Governor State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Dr Reza Baqir and High Commissioner Moazzam Khan met with investors in London on Monday, the tweet revealed.
“My message was that Pakistan’s bonds are a great investment,” the minister said. He thanked the JP Morgan team, a global leader in financial services offering solutions to the world’s most important corporations, governments, and institutions, especially Saad Siddiqui, for hosting the event.
To note, cash-strapped Pakistan has been in dire need of funds for shoring up its foreign exchange reserves in the face of increasing import bills. TLTP
