KARACHI, May 13: Vowing to carry out indiscriminate action against the terrorists, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Friday said that these anti-state elements would find no place to hide. Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of My Karachi: Oasis of Harmony Exhibition at the Expo Center, he said terrorists had no religion, no ethnicity. “I would rather say they are not even humans,” he said, and added, “We are ready to take on this monster (terrorism), and we will never allow it to raise its head again.” Updating on yesterday’s bomb blast in Saddar area of Karachi, he said so far one person had died while 10 had been injured in the incident. Murad also stressed the need for resolving people’s issues in order to prevent their resentment from turning into terrorism. The chief minister said it was heartening to note that the steps the Sindh government took to control the coronavirus eventually paid off. “We succeeded in reducing the loss of lives due to the pandemic,” he added. Similarly, the CM said, less number of people died in Pakistan than in neighbouring countries such as India from the Covid-19. He also hit out at the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) for demanding early elections, saying there was nothing noteworthy the party had done during its four years in office. “What PTI did was pure destruction,” he added. -NNI
