JUSTICE KHOSA HAS ACTUALLY ELEVATED MIAN NAWAZ SHARIF TO THE STATURE OF A PROVEN GENIUS

It goes to the credit of Pakistan’s celebrated ‘Godfather’ that he picks the right persons for the right jobs. Whether or not the ‘job’ of vilifying, and targeting the members of such key institutions as Army and Judiciary is ‘right’ one, is a point to be debated but the GODFATHER has certainly picked the right persons for it—Rana Sanuallah, the ‘noble-intentioned’ Law Minister of Punjab who deceptively gives the appearance of a ‘miniatured’ monster—and Khawaja Saad Rafique— the certified saint from Lahore who has opted to get into the garbs and looks of a teeth-clenching, trigger-happy serial killer on the loose.
Khwaja Saad Rafique has confined his venomous jibes at the judges who have dared to bring his ‘holier-than-angles’ Quaid into disrepute by questioning his exemplary truthfulness, piety and goodness.
On May day, Khwaja Saad Rafique, while applauding the Noon League leadership for having shown exemplary patience and tolerance in accepting the behaviour of the five judges, has singled out Justice Asif Saeed Khosa for a stinging attack: “We know your family O Judge! Good fortune has elevated you to this stature, otherwise what the hell is your stature?”
This was certainly not Khwaja’s first jibe at the future Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
As for Rana Sanaullah, he targeted the Army Chief the same day.
“If that tweet of General XYZ isn’t an intentional mistake, severe action is due against the culprit.”
Rana Sanaullah is not so ‘dumb’ as not to know that the ‘culprit’ behind Major General Asif Ghafoor’s tweet is the Army Chief himself.
Is Rana Sanaullah going to recommend to the Godfather that the Army Chief be tried for treason under Article 6, so that the next Army Chief behaves more like the retired IG Police of Punjab, Mr Sukhera?
The term that has become pain in the neck of the Noon League is GODFATHER.
Justice Asif Khosa has actually done a great service to Mian Sahib for having chosen this analogy.
Don Corleone alias Godfather was a character in which Mario Puzo had infused the qualities of great empire-builders. From Palermo to New York the mobster ruled over an empire of crime that had been built through sheer competitive spirit.
Don Corleone didn’t get free passage into an empire. He was challenged by other crime families frequently.
His favourite dictum was “In our business, there has to be zero tolerance for incompetence.”
Mian Sahib’s kitchen cabinet is manned by proven goofs whose only area of excellence is sycophancy.
