Nation remembers Benazir Bhutto on her eight death anniversary

LARKANA, December 27: The eight death anniversary of former Prime Minister and Pakistan Peoples Party chief Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was observed on Sunday with party leaders and workers thronging Garhi Khuda Baksh to pay homage to late leader. Eight years passed since the first ever female prime minister of Pakistan was assassinated after addressing an electoral rally at Rawalpindi’s Liaquat Bagh on December 27, 2007. A large number of party leaders and workers from all over the country have reached Garhi Khuda Baksh ât” ancestral village of Bhutto family to attend the ceremony with regard to death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto. Fool-proof security arrangements are in place on the occasion.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has also reached Larkana along with his sister Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari. His aunt Faryal Talpur and Home Minister Sohail Anwar Sial were accompanied the party chairman.
Bilawal visited reception camps in the city without any protocol and mingled with people there.
The PPP chairman and senior leaders addressed the people on the death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto.
