Army Chief lauds improved security in tribal districts

PESHAWAR, July 8: Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Qamar Javed Bajwa has appreciated improved security situation and measures for better border management including fencing.
General Qamar Javed Bajwa said this on Wednesday during his visit to Corps Headquarters Peshawar, said Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The Chief of Army Staff lauded security forces in assisting civil administration for fight against COVID-19; particularly the effective containment efforts.
The COAS was given detailed briefing on prevailing security situation, progress on development works and socio-economic uplift in tribal districts.
Earlier, on arrival at Corps Headquarters, the Chief of Army Staff was received by Commander Peshawar Corps Lieutenant General Nauman Mahmood. -DNA
