Pakistan is once again on crossroads

Modi’s campaign to secure the coveted permanent seat in the U.N Security Council is going great guns. From Moscow he got the necessary assurance of support. Then he came to Kabul to weave some new net of conspiracies against Pakistan. Finally on his way back home he alongwith his massive delegation made a sensational landing in the palace of His Majesty the uncrowned king of Raiwind.
The occasion was the marriage of a princess of the family, as well as the Kings’ birthday. This function was unique in the sense that whereas the ‘subjects’ from the King’s native country were not found worthy of being invited, the elite of the enemy country was greeted with unprecedented joy.
Tehran TV interviewed me on this occasion and I was asked to give my comments on Modi’s ‘exceptional’ visit.
My answer was: “How would the people of Iran feel if Israeli prime minister lands suddenly in the residence of the Iranian President for exchange of private and personal pleasantries?”
Anyway, Modi is taking full advantage of Mian Sahib’s passion for peace and business.
But will the defenders of this country allow this ‘nonsense’ to prosper?
In my opinion General Raheel Sharif’s visit to Kabul, and the degree of his success in countering Modi’s Kabul offensive will decide which way the wind is going to blow— Pakistan is once again on crossroads.
