The opening ceremony of the International Army Games-2022 was held on Aug. 15, 2022, on the territory of the Patriot Congress and Exhibition Center of Russia, the Ministry of Defense of Kyrgyzstan reported. The event was attended by Minister of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic, Lieutenant General Baktybek Bekbolotov, Minister of Defense of Russia, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, as well as representatives of the defense departments of the states participating in the Games-2022 competitions.
On the eve of the opening of the Games, Kyrgyz tankers made their race on green tanks, who were opposed by the permanent winners of tank competitions – the Russian Federation, the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Belarus, traditionally performing in the 1st division.
Also, during the opening of Army Games 2022, Lieutenant General Bekbolotov met with the national team of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic, wished them high achievements, good luck and victories in the competition.
The international competition “Tank Biathlon-2022” is held from August 15 to 27 this year. The stages of the competition include an individual race, a semi-final and a relay stage final. Tournament participants will be judged on their ability to navigate the battlefield, tank control, shooting accuracy and fire control skills. – Kabar
