LAHORE, August 17:Provincial Minister for Transport Muneeb Sultan Cheema has said that according to the directions of Chief Minister Punjab, the Board of Mass Transit Authority will be formed as soon as possible so that all important decisions related to OLMT can be taken in time. He was presiding over a high level meeting of the officers of Punjab Mass Transit Authority. In the meeting, the provincial minister was given a detailed briefing about the working, system and all the 6 projects of the Punjab Mass Transit Authority. Currently 6 projects under the management of Punjab Mass Transit Authority are being operated such as Lahore Orange Line Metro Train, Lahore Metro Bus System, Pakistan Metro Bus System, Multan Metro Bus System, Lahore Feeder Route System Phase One, Multan Feeder Route System Phase One. In the meeting, Managing Director Mass Transit Authority MirzaNaseerInayat gave detailed presentation to the provincial minister. General Manager Operations, Manager Operations Technical, Secretary Mass Transit Authority and other officers also attended the meeting. While addressing the meeting, Provincial Transport Minister Muneeb Sultan Cheema said that the old board will be de-notified soon so that the new board members can be elected as soon as possible. A summary is being prepared in this regard and approval will be taken from Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry ParvezElahi in one or two days.
