ISLAMABAD, January 10: Pakistan Navy on Sunday decided to deploy two more marines battalions for the security of Gwadar Port.
Pakistan Navy has taken this decision not only for the security of Gwadar Port but also to provide fool proof security to Chinese engineers.
More than 400 marines of Pakistan Navy’s Third Marines Battalions are providing security round the clock to Gwadar Port and the Chinese engineers working at the Port.
“Gwadar, the main destination of the CPEC, will be linked with China’s western region through a rail and road network.” The CPEC has been termed a window of opportunity for the country to boost its economy and is set to become an economic hub connecting the Middle East with Central Asia.
