Tahirul QadriLAHORE, April 11:It does not seem any outcome of any enquiry into the Panama Leaks as people and facilitators, who have benefited from these off-shore accounts, are in every department of the country.
This was stated by the chairman of Pakistan Awami Tehreek Dr. Tahirul Qadri while addressing the meeting of the PAT Lawyers wing from Canada via video link on Monday.
The PAT Chairman said that there is no mention of the two off-shore accounts by the prime minister in the accounts details he had submitted before the Election Commission after winning the elections, which is a crime and added that the details of the amounts in these accounts has yet to surface.
The meeting reviewed in detail the Model Town case and the witnesses
recorded in this case. He said after the resignations of the prime
ministers of Iceland and Ukraine now the PM of Kirgizstan is set to resign and if our PM had any moral courage he too would have resigned by now.
Dr. Tahirul Qadri said that in the UK the Financial Credit Authority had
sought help from 20 large financial groups to unearth the money laundering and Panama Leaks revealed recently. He said all the countries whose names have appeared in the Panama Leaks have opened investigations to unveil the truth, but in Pakistan the very government is using different tactics to hide the truth. He said the people of the country want to know how the Sharifs set up businesses in Saudi Arabia and where did the money come to set up these businesses and how did the money go out of Pakistan. The PAT chairman said that the supporters of Sharifs are saying that the PM has nothing to do with the businesses of his sons while on the other hands he (PM) has been taking millions of dollars from them. He said the proofs of the corruption of the ruling family are lying all over but there are elements in the State Bank, Finance Ministry and the PM’s secretariat who are protecting the corruption of the Sharifs.
He said that it has become imperative that a third party audit be conducted of the Metro, Orange Train and the Pak-China Economic Corridor projects. He said the rulers are criminals and will not hesitate to take the life of any such person who becomes a stumbling block in their path. He said that PAT will never give up its quest to seek justice for the martyrs of the Model Town incident and will take account of each drop of innocent blood spilt by the rulers.-Online
