- Arrives in London to meet forensic experts
- Says April 24 rally will be held at F-9 Park at all costs

LAHORE, April 14: PTI chairman Imran Khan has demanded that a commission under the Supreme Court Chief Justice should be formed to investigation Panama leaks disclosures and if the government failed to form the commission they will be compelled to take to the streets.
“I don’t know whether or not Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is well and if he has gone to London for his medical check up then there is no issue in it. We pray for his recovery and good health,” he said while talking to media at Allama Iqbal International airport before leaving for London on Thursday.
He said that an independent commission should be formed under the chief justice to carry out fair and transparent probe into Panama leaks scandal and make the facts public. “If commission is not constituted then a series of protests will be called out and the government will not be able to withstand it. Activities of the rulers have serious bearing the society and the masses. Those who plundered national wealth and siphoned off it to off-shore accounts must be held accountable,” Khan said.
The PTI chief said that he would announce his future course of action on April 24. “We will take to the Panama leaks issue to the logic conclusion and no one should have doubt about it,” he said.
“The prime minister says he believes in democracy, but he goes into hiding when we talk about corruption. No one can sweep the Panama leaks issue under the carpet. We will take lawyers, civil society and our media into confidence before launching a protest movement against the corrupt rulers because they have looted the country and stashed money in offshore accounts,” he said.
Khan observed that people were living below poverty line and the country could not afford those who have rendered it into bankruptcy by taking away its wealth to foreign countries.
“These people talk tall about democracy. I want to tell them democracy is in place in the UK and in Iceland. Three prime ministers of democratic countries have resigned after Panama leaks disclosures,” he said. “The ruling family has been facing four major charges of corruption and they cannot escape”. He questioned why the interior minister has kept Khurshid Shah’s files with him. Netting thieves and corrupts is job of the interior minister and not blackmailing. Imran Khan on Thursday flew to London, reiterating his demand that an independent commission be established for investigation into Sharif family’s alleged offshore accounts. According to reports, Imran Khan is likely to meet officials of forensic companies to share proofs regarding investment of PM Nawaz Sharif’s family exposed in Panama Papers. Speaking to media persons upon arriving in London, he said his party is all set to celebrate its foundation day in a historic fashion in Islamabad’s F-9 Park. “We will hold April 24 rally at F-9 Park at any cost,” he said. Khan claimed Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan expressed no objection when he informed him about the same while onboard the plane to London. “Chaudhry Nisar was under the impression that we might start marching on the Red Zone or Blue Area in Islamabad,” he said.-Online/Agencies
