  •  Says improving performance of institutions need of the hour

ISLAMABAD, January 12: President Mamnoon Hussain has said abundant opportunities exist between Pakistan and Bulgaria for promoting bilateral relations in trade and culture.He said this while talking to Pakistan’s ambassador-designate to Bulgaria, A S Babar Hashmi, in Islamabad on Tuesday.
The President asked the ambassador-designate to play an effective role in this regard and apprise the Bulgarian traders about investment opportunities in Pakistan and facilities being extended by the government to this end. The President asked the ambassador-designate to convince Bulgarian entrepreneurs for joint ventures in generation of electricity from coal and in textile sector.
President Mamnoon Hussain asked the ambassador-designate that there is a scope for enhancing cultural cooperation between the two countries and in this regard exchange of cultural delegations between Pakistan and Bulgaria could be effective to promote the image of Pakistan as a progressive country.
Meanwhile, while talking to Advisor to the Prime Minister on National History and Literary Heritage, Irfan Siddiqui, who called on him at the Aiwan-e-SAdr, Islamabad, the President said that reviving the status of educational, literary and historical institutions and improving their performance is need of the hour so that our young generation is not only aware of the teachings of our elders but also develops passion for literature.
Irfan Siddiqui briefed the President about his new responsibilities.
