panama-papers-480PESHAWAR, April 15: Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Sardar Aurangzaib Nalota said on Friday that Panama Leaks were a part of an international conspiracy against China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Project (CPEC) to deprive the country of $46 billion direct foreign investment.
Talking to state-run media, he said, “The enemy and anti-Pakistan lobby did not want to see economic progress and political stability in our country and the billions dollar CPEC, started by PML-N Government, has made the opponents ill at ease.”
He said CPEC was a lifeline project for Pakistan as it would not only help address the energy shortfall but also give enormous boost to all major sectors including trade and economy, commerce, construction industry, textile, agriculture and transport in the country besides generating hundreds of thousands of jobs opportunities for youth.
The MPA said that about $34 billion out of $46billion foreign investment under CPEC would be spent on bolstering energy and power sector that would help address the prolonged problem of load shedding.
He said resolution of energy problem was imperative for sustained progress and development of Pakistan, adding dozens of energy projects that were launched by PML-N Government were near completion that would exterminate load shedding by 2018.
“The Prime Minister with an open heart made everything clear regarding Sharif Family’s businesses in a very comprehensive manner and after a detailed speech by the Prime Minister to the nation and announcement of a commission, this hue and cry, should now come to an end,” he added.
“We have to move forward as a nation and must not let anyone or enemy disrupt this process. We vow to go above all such nuisance and take the country to heights of progress and prosperity with complete unity, harmony and determination,” the PMLN leader said.
“The opponents wanted to divert attention of the PML-N government from Operation Zarb e Azb, CPEC, TDPs return and rehabilitation after recent rains in KP and Gilgit Baltistan by highlighting the Panama issue, out of proportion for just political gains and they fail in their anti-people designs.”
When asked about PTI Chief proposed sit-in on April 24 in Lahore, the PMLN leader said it would meet the same fate like the previously staged drama in Islamabad.
He said Imran would regret his call for April 24 sit-in at Lahore as people were fed up with agitational politics and wanted solution of their problems.-Agencies
Nalota advised Imran to stop dreaming about premiership through politics of agitation and find some other way to win the hearts of masses by focusing on real issues besides utilizing energies for resolution of masses problems in KPK where PTI was in power.
Sardar Nalota while terming the Panama issue against Sharif family as politically motivated said such allegations were leveled against Sharif family in the past too but nothing was proved against them even during previoua Pervez Musharraf regime. – DNA
