KARACHI, April 19: Former Karachi Mayor Mustafa Kamal on Tuesday dealt another blow to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) by pulling yet another senior leader of his former party into his newly formed Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP).
Flanked by Kamal and other members of the PSP, Iftikhar Randhawa announced his decision to join hands with the former mayor and other dissidents of MQM at a press conference.
According to Mustafa Kamal, Iftikhar Akbar Randhawa was in Australia and upon his return has decided to join the Pak Sarzameen Party.
The MQM on Monday accused country’s principal intelligence agency, the ISI, of threatening its workers in a bid to change their loyalties, soon after its Sindh Assembly member Ashfaq Mangi joined the PSP.
Nadeem Nusrat, MQM’s London based leader, on Monday called on army chief to spare time for a meeting with MQM delegation so that the party could present what he said proofs against some intelligence officials.-Online
