ICCI signs MoU with DWE to improve productivity of SMEs

ISLAMABAD, April 21: The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a MoUwith Directorate of Workers Education to enhance the soft skills of industrial workers and improve the productivity of SMEs. Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division was the Chief Guest. AtifIkram Sheikh, President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) and Madam Dr. TanvirKayani, Director General, Directorate of Workers Education (DWE) signed the MoU.Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division termed the signing of MoU between ICCI and DWE a positive development as it will help in improving the performance of workers and will ultimately benefit the SMEs. He said workers were key asset of SMEs and providing them with latest skills & education would foster better growth of these business entities. He said many development projects would be started soon in Islamabad to develop the federal capital as a model city. He said these projects would also benefit the business community as they would create many new business opportunities as well. He said business community was playing a vital role in the development of Islamabad and assured that he would play his role in resolving their key issues.-PR
