ISLAMABAD, April 21: Imran Khan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Thursday accused Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif of hatching conspiracy to defame Pakistan Army at international level.
“Nawaz Sharif told Indian leadership that we are your friends but Pakistan army doesn’t want good relations between the two countries,” Imran claimed in an interview with a private TV channel.
He asked as to why the prime minister didn’t break his silence over arrest of Indian spy agency RAW’s Officer Kulbhushan Yadav in Balochistan, claiming that Nawaz Sharif has personal relations with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “I can see next elections in 2016 and for that matter I have asked my party to get prepared the next polls,” he said.
To a query about termination of senior military officials over corruption charges, The PTI chairman said that the action has raised popularity of the institution.
Opposition leader in the Nation Assembly Khurshid Shah refused to comment on Imran’s allegations against the prime minister. “No one should comment on the issues whose details are not known,” he said.-Online
