ISLAMABAD, April 24: Patron-in-Chief of Pakistan Hindu Council, Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani has said that provincial governments of Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa both were badly failed to protect the minorities, and thus, establishment of Special Task Force for the Protection of Minorities on urgent bases is need of time. He made these remarks while exchanging his views during a meeting with a local delegation of minorities in Islamabad. Dr. Ramesh Vankwani, who is also Member of National Assembly, expressed that the Constitution of Pakistan guaranteed for the protection of minorities’ rights, while Founder of the Nation Quaid-i-Azam had also announced to provide religious freedom living in the newly-born Muslim state.  The delegation, during the meeting, also showed extreme concerns on the rising incidents against the minorities. Dr. Ramesh Vankwani paid great tribute to the late Sardar Soran Singh, and declared him as “Martyr of Pakistan”. He said that late Singh was a truly patriot citizen. He said that during the hearing in the Supreme Court for the protection of minorities’ rights, most issues were highlighted in the Sindh and Balochistan, but it is highly regrettable that both provincial governments were not interested to implement the detailed ruling of Supreme Court dated June 19th 2014 for providing security to the minorities.-PR
