KPK Chief Minister Pervez Khattak presiding over a meeting regarding Land Computerisation Project in district Mardan at CM Secretariat in Peshawar on Wednesday.

PESHAWAR, April 27: The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has said that he will allow the construction of road under CPEC in Hazara and all parts of the province that is known as the western route of CPEC, provided it has all the facilities the central route of the CPEC going through the Punjab province will have. The construction of road has never been a problem, the provincial government itself can and would construct the road out of its own resources.
He was talking to the elected representatives of Hazara which included Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani Special Assistant to Chief Minister for Information, Yousaf Ayub Khan, Qalander Lodhi Minister Food, MNA Dr. Azhar Jadoon, Wajiuzaman MPA, Advisor for Provincial Coordination Haji Abdul Haq, MPA Haji Ibrar, Zar Gul Khan.
The Chief Minister said that the people of Hazara and the rest of the province needed a route not a road adding that the provincial government had the fiscal space to construct a road right from Kohistan towards the end of the province at D.I.Khan.
He said we are talking about the future and the rights of the province and would never compromise on our stated position and stand, his government took on the CPEC. Unfortunately the PML(N) government at the centre has constantly been deceiving and deluding the provincial government on the CPEC. In one breath, the federal government would agree to remove the apprehensions of the province but when it comes to the ground realities then it is totally different from the earlier postures taken by the PML(N) central government. In the given situation, there is nothing for the people of Hazara and rest of the province but a mere road and if the situation was so he would cross all limits not to allow the road. We can construct road for our self including Hazara and rest of the province. The existing road, the Chief Minister said as planned by the federal government would not have the facilities that were given to the central route of the CPEC going through Punjab.
During the meeting, the participants appreciated the government concern for the rights of the people of Hazara and rest of the province and also appreciated the government for the construction of road etc. and assured that if the federal government ignored the amenities on the western route, they would start agitation against the federal government.-PR
