BEIJING, April 28: Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz says resolution of the core issue of Kashmir is must for durable peace and stability in South Asia. Addressing a meeting in Beijing on Thursday, he said Pakistan remains fully committed to this objective as part of comprehensive dialogue on all issues with India.
Sartaj Aziz said a peaceful and stable Afghanistan is in the best interest of Pakistan and entire region. He said peace in Afghanistan will also enable return of millions of Afghan refugees hosted by Pakistan for over three decades.
The Adviser drew attention of the world to root causes of terrorism and violent extremism, and underlined urgent need to address them. He also called for peaceful political solutions to the conflicts in Syria and Yemen.
He said the most important initiative in this context is the One Belt One Road vision of Chinese leadership and Pakistan-China Economic Corridor is a flagship component of this vision. -DNA
