ISLAMABAD, April 29: Federal Minister for Industries and Production GhulamMurtraza Khan Jatoi has directed the Managing Director Utility Stores Corporation of Pakistan for accelerating the process of computerization and automation in the Corporation. The Minister himself will oversee the entire process formaintaining transparency . This has been stated by the Minister during a briefing . The Managing Director Utility Stores Corporation, Gulzar Hussain Shah and his team briefed the Minister in detail over the subject. In this regard some one thousand Utility Stores will be computerized in the first phase and for the automation purposes, world’s best firms will be engaged.
On the Occastion, the Minister remarked that it was the need of the hour to make the corporation a profitable entity.
Ghulam Mustafa Khan Jatoi as well as the Federal Secretary Mr.Khizer Hayat Gondal praised the sitting MD for his strenuous efforts for the progress and prosperity of the Corporation.
It is noteworthy that the Corporation is not only the sole source of provision of inexpensive daily use commodities to the down- trodden but also providing jobs to more than five thousand people.-NHT Report
