RAWALPINDI, April 30: Albayrak commenced dengue awareness campaign vigorously in most vulnerable area of Chah Sultan on Saturday where an outbreak of dengue had happened last year during dengue season. In this connection, a field camp was established at Chah Sultan and an awareness walk was held in the area to involve public awareness activities so that people should remain conscious about observing necessary precautionary measures to prevent themselves from the fatal ailment of dengue fever. Kenan Gulen GM Communicaion Albayrak, Senior Manage Operations Sabit Aiktanar, Chairman UC-30 Mumtaz Khan and Vice Chairman Muhammad Ifitkhar were prominent who led the walk starting from Chah Sultan Main Road. The participants of the walk were carrying banners and placards inscribing precautionary tips of dengue protection. On this occasion the officials of Albayrak distributed pamphlets and other dengue awareness related materials among shopkeepers and residents of the area. It was informed that the campaign would continue by the end of next month in which all segments of society would be associated.
Kenan Gulen expressing his views said that Albayrak is committed to work hard and maintain the high standard of cleanliness. He said any kind of complaint about sanitation problems would be resolved on priority basis and exclusive sanitary staff had been deputed in all related localities. He also appreciated active participation of local body’s representatives in public awareness campaign and said that with the support of community solid waste issues would be tackled efficiently.-PR
