  • Says it is opposition’s obligation to identify corruption

ImranKhanISLAMABAD, May 6: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Friday accused Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif of making countrywide visits to divert attention from opposition’s demands regarding probe into Panama papers.
We asked a straight question to Prime Minister on Panama papers.
Instead of answering our question, he has started nationwide visits, Khan told the media persons in Islamabad.
He said that it was opposition’s obligation to identify corruption in government.
Khan said that Nawaz Sharif’s strategy would now be to prolong the issue, buy loyalties and resort to blackmailing.
Pakistan is divided into two groups. One group is supporting ˜save corruption movement while the rest of Pakistan and opposition parties are backing eradicate corruption drive, he said, adding that opposition’s movement to eradicate corruption would emerge as winner.
The PTI chief offered his own accountability along with Prime Minister Sharif. I present myself for accountability along with the prime minister on corruption, he said.
To a question, he pledged that there would be a fool-proof security for party’s women supporters in their next rally in Faisalabad.
I assure that what happened in Lahore and Islamabad will not repeat in Faisalabad, he said, adding that committee formed to investigate harassment in previous rallies would submit its report on Saturday.-NNI
