ISLAMABAD, May 12: Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said three billion population of the region will benefit from China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. He said opposition does not want elimination of corruption, but to target him. He said opposition just wants to do politics, adding that the opposition could not seek reply of questions from him. He said no politician should try to become commission himself.
Talking to newsmen in the plane while returning from Tajikistan, he said the corridor will bring prosperity to the region. He said Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline will help overcome energy shortage in Pakistan.
The Prime Minister said all the regional countries are trying to establish economic zones. He said CASA-1000 project will provide an opportunity to cement our relationships with Central Asian countries. He said Balochistan will make unprecedented Continued on page 6

progress in next three to four years. He said a chain of development projects are being started from Gwadar to Khunjrab. He said new highways and motorways are being constructed to reduce distances.
Nawaz Sharif said power generation has been started by using local coal. He said 100 billion rupees have been saved as a result of ensuring transparency in development projects.
To a question, he said Pakistan wants friendly relations with all neighboring countries, including Afghanistan and India. He said peace in neighboring countries will usher in a new era of development and progress in the region. He said future of the world is linked with this region. The Prime Minister asked India and Pakistan to sort out their issues through dialogue. Prime Minister denounced opposition parties for what he described as negative politics regarding Panama Leaks. Prime Minister said that opposition parties have resorted to negative politics, which had proved poisonous for the country in the past. “It is our desire that Chief Justice set up a commission to investigate the Panama Leaks,” he said, adding that he would respond to all the allegations in the commission. “Opposition cannot demand any answers from me nor any politician should try to become the commission himself,” he said. The prime minister said that Nawaz Sharif was the prime target of opposition on the Panama Leaks issue. He said that he would discuss in parliament only the things that needed to be discussed in the parliament while those to be discussed before commission would only be discussed before the commission. Nawaz Sharif said that he was determined to appear before the commission to answer the allegations regarding Panama Leaks.
