- Thousands attend funeral of missing youth
SRINAGAR, January 19: In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leader and the President of Tehreek-e-Kashmir, Abdul Aziz Dar alias General Musa, has said that the Kashmir dispute is alive due to the sacrifices rendered by Pakistan for the Kashmir cause and its relentless efforts at the international level for its settlement.Abdul Aziz Dar in a statement in Srinagar said, “It is the sacrifices and relentless efforts of Pakistan that Kashmir issue is alive internationally.”
He said that Pakistan had always provided dedicated support to the Kashmiri people in their just struggle, despite huge pressures from influential world leaders and countries.”Despite all the odds, pressures and pulls, Pakistan has proved to be the most dependable friend of Kashmiris which is extending its unrelenting political, diplomatic and moral support to them at every international forum and platform,” he added.Meanwhile, thousands of people participated in the funeral prayers in absentia of a victim of enforced disappeared, Manzoor Ahmad Dar, at Rawalpora in Srinagar, Tuesday.Hurriyet leaders including Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik participated in the funeral. Tehreek-e-Hurriyet leader Bashir Ahmad Butt led the funeral. Manzoor Ahmad Dar had gone missing during the custody of Indian Army on this day in 2002. -KMS
