RAWALPINDI, January 20: General Raheel Sharif, Chief of Army Staff, Wednesday visited District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Charsadda to inquire about the health of survivors of Bacha Khan University assault.
“Our heart goes out to breaved families of shaheeds (martyrs) for this irreparable loss,” the army chief said during his visit to the hospital. Related story: Army chief visits Bacha Khan university
Earlier, General Sharif also visited Bacha Khan University, where gunmen carried out an attack that left at least 22 people killed and 60 others injured. The army chief was briefed about the military operation against the attackers. -DNA
