
CHARSADDA, January 21: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Parvez Khan Khattack on Thursday has stressed need of another All Parties Conference (APC) after Charsadda attack to devise future course of action against the terrorists in country.
The Chief Minister visited Bacha Khan University along with Opposition Leader Maulana Lutfur Rehman.
CM Khattak was briefed about the situation after attack and the damages done. While talking to the media, he said that there is a need to call an APC after the attack. It is not the time to score political points, he added. He said it is necessary to convene another APC to review shortcomings of the national action plan, adding that the government should seek the suggestions regarding the betterment of plan to fight terrorists in country.
He said that the federal government needs to talk straight forward with Afghan authorities. Afghanistan government needs to take steps to halt cross-border movement, he added.
Khattak also said that it is about time that federation talks with India directly over Research and Analysis Wing s (RAW) involvement and not beat around the bush.
He paid rich tributes to Charsadda locals for countering the attack the best way they could. He lauded security agencies and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police for their commendable action.
The Chief Minister said that Pakistan was in for another massive loss if the law enforcers had not acted the way they did.
Khattak once again has urged the federal government to deploy Frontier Corps (FC) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He further urged the nation to stay united in stressful times. On Wednesday, four extremists had opened fire in Bacha Khan University that claimed Continued on page 7

The injured include a female faculty member, under treatment in Lady Reading Hospital.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan had paid a visit to the attack site where he inspected the search operation in surrounding areas which was ongoing then. The PTI chief had admired police and other law enforcement agencies for their in-time action.
CM Khattak was on a foreign tour which he cut short after learning about the news and returned. Several provincial ministers also returned to Pakistan on directives of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.-Sabah
