ISLAMABAD, June 13: Opposition Leader in National Assembly Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah has said that the government should accept the ToRs of opposition in letter and spirit, adding that this will be better political decision for government. Khurshid Shah PPP will take final decision if negotiations with the government on the issue of terms of reference (TORs) failed. He said that the government could not ignore everything while terming it as conspiracy. He said the government should tell what it has done in three years, adding that the government should tell how many hospitals it has constructed. He said that there is not a single motorway in Sindh. He said Bilawal Bhutto Zardari makes decisions about whole party and Asif Ali Zardari makes decisions about the parliamentary party of PPP.
While to media persons at his chamber in Parliament House Khurshid shah said that government should resolve the ToRs issue in parliament. He said the party will review the issue of deadlock in ToRs and will take decision. Shah said that the party takes decisions while considering the situation of whole country.
He said it is beauty of the PPP that it wants to avoid politics of roads, adding that if the problems will not be resolved in parliament then the party will decide future course of action including coming on roads, not attending parliament and other options of protest. Shah said he did not see end of deadlock over the ToRs issue, adding that the government should accept the ToRs of opposition in letter and spirit. He said that the government should bring legislation and it should not waste time.
Shah said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in his first address had said that his family was ready for accountability. He said prime minister should come and accept the ToRs of opposition and should present his family for accountability. He said being politician prime minister should face the circumstances this thing will suit him. He said that the prime minister in his speech to the nation had presented himself for accountability. “But now the government is buying time by declaring every sort of criticism as a conspiracy hatched against it.”
Shah said the accountability of all people should be held, adding that one to two billion rupees were spent on the accountability of Asif Ali Zardari and Benazir Bhutto and they were convicted. He said the memory of Ishaq Dar is not good may be there is burden of budget on him, adding that Benazir Bhutto was convicted by Islamabad and Rawalpindi High Court, adding that the tape of Shahbaz Sharif’s conversation with Justice Malik Qayyum is present. He said Shahbaz asked Malik Qayyum to convict Asif Zardari and Benazir Bhutto, adding that the tape was caught and judges were removed but the person who talked with judges is still chief minister. He said no action was taken against him, adding that if this incident would have been happened in any developed country then he could have disqualified forever.
He said Bilawal Bhutto Zardari makes decisions about whole party and Asif Ali Zardari makes decisions about the parliamentary party of PPP. Shah said if $200 present in Switzerland are brought back then the debts of country should paid immediately. He said average load shedding in country is 10 to 12 hours and government is telling lie regarding the matter. He said that the government could not ignore everything while terming it as conspiracy. He said the government should tell what it has done in three years, adding that the government should tell how many hospitals it has constructed. He said not more then 10000 students could get education in Danish schools, adding that only 800 to 900 megawatt electricity will be added by the government till the end of its tenure. He said that there is no load shedding in the house of Khawaja Asif.
He said there are two technocrat foreign ministers in country and whole foreign office is disturbed.
He said the opposition has given names for parliamentary committee, adding that the names will be sent in committee for the appointment of members of Election Commission of Pakistan. He said Nawab Yousuf Talpur will represent PPP in committee.
He said the current budget has shaken the federation. He said on the one hand the people are demanding water and education and on the other hand the government is spending all funds in one city, adding that what message is giving the government though its actions. He said that there is not a single motorway in Sindh. He said PPP developed interior Sindh but the focus of current government is construction of motorways.-Sabah
