PESHAWAR, July 22: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has assured his government would never ignore the welfare of minorities in the province. This he stated while nominating Ravi Kumar as coordinator for Minority affairs during a meeting with a delegation of minorities here in the Chief Minister Secretariat Friday.
Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information & Public Relations Mushtaq Ghani was also present at the occasion. The Chief Minister said that the assassination of Soran Singh was a great loss to the party and the minorities of the province who represented the minorities of the province in a way they deserved to be represented.
The Chief Minister said that new budget was giving greater space to the minorities for different developmental and welfare schemes in the province. The Chief Minister directed to expedite the already initiated and identified schemes for the minorities in the province. The desire is to satisfy the minorities through mainstreaming them in the overall developmental strategy of the province, he added.
Pervez Khattak assured that the coordination, interaction and integration of minorities initiated by Soran Singh would continue and the provincial government would provide all out support in this regard.-PR
