Situation is not as simple as being portrayed by Indian official spokesmen. Kashmir is neither an issue of law and order nor the unrest is being fuelled from across the border. Few years back a 15 years old teenager experienced abhorrent highhandedness of Indian occupied forces who tortured his elder brother publically. This incident pushed Muzzafar Wani towards armed struggle. Over a period of time, Wani became a powerful icon of freedom struggle. Eventually, Indian occupied forces managed to kill the Wani in an encounter. This was just not an encounter rather a spark to the volcano bubbling up beneath the surface against the inhuman atrocities of occupied forces. Hundreds of thousands of protestors came out in the funeral of Muzzafar Wani. They paid rich tribute to the new icon of freedom struggle. This one encounter has badly choked the throat of India. Protest all across the valley has now entered in 4th week. More than 80 innocent Kashmiris have embraced SHAHADAT. Hundreds of unarmed citizens are critically injured which include those unfortunate victims of ‘Pellet Guns’ who have lost eyesight permanently. Wani’s encounter have exposed the horrible face of world’s so called Largest democracy. Curfew is imposed almost uninterruptedly in the valley; Complete ban on social media tools including Internet ,e-mail, facebook etc. Indian forces are brutally using military grade weapons against unarmed civilians including women, children and old aged citizens. Is it democracy? Is it humanity? Is it political engagement ? No it is just biased anti Muslim extremist Hindu Mindset which only believes in violence, oppression, genocide and brutalities. Public tribute to Wani is actually, powerful referendum in which Kashmiris have unanimously rejected Indian occupation. Indian Intelligentsia has condemned recent human rights violations. Unfortunately, these voices are unheard. Pakistan’s official stance is through not commensurating to the seriousness of recent situation of held Kashmir but as a whole it is based on principle. Recent encounter of Indo-Pak interior ministers at SAARC meeting is just an incident fit enough to understand the Indian rigid mindset. Raj nath Singh, angrily left the meeting after getting a befitting reply from Ch Nisar Ali Khan. Shameful conduct of Raj nath singh was not surprising at all. India has adopted the policy of denial about Kasmir. Though, it is a matter of human rights and freedom but India always grades it as a law and order issue sponsored by Pakistan. This mindset is the biggest hurdle in resolving the issue. Kashmir is bleeding! Kashmir is burning! Raj nath singh rubbed salt on their wounds during recent visit and sided with occupied forces who have committed serious crimes against Kashmiris. This persistent denial mode has left no room for any political engagement or dialogue. Kashmiris are pushed to the corner having no option to seek the peaceful solution. In such circumstances, society finally creates her own symbols/icons like it happened in the case of Muzzafar wani. Pakistan’s struggle and efforts could not yet fetch a major breakthrough in diplomatic field over Kashmir issue. Kashmir is bleeding and burning! Almost every house in Kashmir is wounded and affected in the hands of occupied India forces. Question of the day is that, Who will heal the wounds of Kashmir? India, Pakistan or International community?
