- Says corruption seeps through the ranks of the govt if the head of the govt is corrupt
- Announces Lahore rally to intensify anti-corruption drive

CHAK DARRA, August 25: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has on Thursday said that Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif must answer about his assets. He said that corruption always seeps through the ranks of a government if the head of the government himself is corrupt, sources reported.
Addressing a public meeting in Chak Darra, Imran Khan said that the government was wasting the money on mega projects while the same money should have been spent on the welfare of the people and education. He alleged that the kickbacks received in mega projects could be put into dubious investments like Panama Leaks. Imran said that there was no case of mega corruption in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). He added that there was corruption in the province at the lower level but it would be curbed soon. He also announced 30% of the recovered amount for anyone who’d highlight the corruption in any of the departments. PTI Chairman admitted that it took the KP government a long time to improve the situation of the hospitals. However, he said that the education system had improved a lot in the province and 34,000 students had left the private schools to join government schools. He also announced to establish new schools,
colleges and universities for female students. He has announced to march towards Lahore to boost the party’s anti-corruption drive, saying the rulers will not be spared until they are held accountable for their alleged offshore wealth. “We will be approaching Lahore on September 3 and the Supreme Court next week to make Nawaz Sharif answerable for the wealth exposed by Panama Papers,” Imran Khan said.-Agencies
