CMKPKPervezKhattak2PESHAWAR, August 31: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has directed to expedite implementation on the master plan for the Galyat Development Authority and finalize the composition of the Board of Directors of the authority as expeditiously as possible.
He was presiding over a meeting regarding finalizing Board of Directors of Galyat Development Authority here at CM House Wednesday. Chairman PTI Imran Khan also attended the meeting.
Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Azam Khan gave a complete presentation on the present progress on the Galyat, the composition of the Board of Directors and other issues related to the Galyat Development Authority. He informed that the land record has been computerized that led to ten time increase in recovery. A computerized complaint redressal mechanism has been established and master plan prepared for the beautification of Galyat. The authority has established a monitoring and evaluation system, street lights and a ground at Khanas Pur, different parks etc have been completed.
The Chief Minister directed for a continuous monitoring of what his government has done in order to preserve the natural beauty in the entire Galyat. He said no one was above the law and no one would be allowed to influence the process of having a free encroachment Galyat. The authority is autonomous in all its decision making and the board of directors should comprised members who are eligible under the conflict of interest law, his government legislated recently.
Imran Khan Chairman of PTI advised that the Board members should have a passion and expertise and the necessary background that would contribute to the provincial government efforts for making Galyat environmental friendly and could contribute to overall beautification of the area that will attract tourists at mass scale and this would contribute to the provincial economy and its people would get jobs in tourism related industry.-PR
