  • Says more institutions to be destroyed if PM
managed to escape accountability on Panama leaks

LAHORE: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s (PTI) Imran Khan has demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
In his speech at Lahore’s Bhatti Gate, he announced that he has given Sharif brothers 48-72 hours to tender their resignation.
“Lahore is the political heart of Pakistan and today’s rally shows that the people want change in their country,” said Imran Khan.
Imran Khan said that we are fighting for the future of Pakistan. He said people will exert pressure on the Government for getting justice. He said we are under debt and begging for money from abroad. He said that God has given an opportunity to the people in the shape of Panama Leaks to oust the corrupt rulers of the country. He said that we will bring Nawaz Sharif to the dock of justice.
He said we will offer Fajr Prayers at Charring Cross.
Earlier at Shahdra Chowk, Imran Khan lashed out at Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Chairman FBR, FIA and Election Commission of Pakistan for not taking action against Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif over panama leaks issue. Imran said he respects honorable judges of the Supreme Court and hopes justice from them over panama issue. He said prime minister considers himself above the law and has spoken lie before the parliament. He said Supreme Court was attacked in the era of this prime minister, adding that this prime minister started politics of changa manga and started buying politicians and this prime minister handed over the key of BMW to army chief while summoning him in Murree during his first tenure. of Lahore Imran said this is the war of future of people, adding that the people have to struggle against this prime minister and will have to make the institutions strong.
He said that the judges of the Supreme Court are honorable, adding that it is responsibility of judges to provide justice. He said that after panama revelations there is no doubt that prime minister has committed corruption and money laundering. Imran said we will approach Supreme Court. He said all evidences have been provided in the petition filed in Supreme Court.
Imran said why Chairman NAB did not catch the theft of billions of rupees of Nawaz Sharif. Imran said that he knows how many millions are being sent to Dubai by Chairman FBR monthly, adding that chairman FBR should send notices to all people whose names appeared in Panama. He said Chairman FBR has not the courage to send the notice to Nawaz Sharif asking him from where his children have taken money.
He said current Election Commission is playing role of Election Commission of Nawaz Sharif, adding that I ask from ECP for how long you will continue to play as B-team of PML-N. He said the nation wants justice. He said the election commission should decide the petitions pending according to law.
Imran Khan said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif wants to escape accountability. “You think you will do corruption and we will sit back,” said the PTI chairman.
He added that Nawaz Sharif was playing with the nation’s future and wanted to do accountability according to his own law. “Even in 200 years, prime minister will not stand accountable”.
The PTI chairman further said the Panama Papers proved that Nawaz Sharif is corrupt. “FBR chairman does not have the courage to send notice to Nawaz,” Khan stated.
Earlier while leaving his Zaman Park residence, Imran Khan said: “The government has stopped our rally by placing containers.
I will tell people how Nawaz Sharif has destroyed this country. Our rally today will be historic.”
Imran Khan warned Sharif brothers against blocking the rally routes adding that the Ehtisab March rally of Lahore will be decisive to curb corruption from country.
We have been seeking answers from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for the past five months. Whenever the Prime Minister is questioned on corruption he starts narrating different stories, Khan added.
“I am warning the Sharif imperialists. Don’t try to stop the brave nation with these containers,” he said. We are peaceful people and our protest is peaceful as well. The government must not resort to any violent means this time, the PTI chief said.He further claimed that more institutions will be destroyed if the Prime Minister managed to escape accountability on Panama leaks. The PTI chief said he will reveal how the prime minister is destroying the future of the country through corruption. “If he [Nawaz Sharif] escapes Panama Papers inquiry, he will destroy more national institutions, including ECP, FBR, NAB and even courts because Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has a history of attacking courts,” Imran claimed.-Monitoring Desk/Sabah
