NEW YORK, September 4: A protest demonstration was held against MQM founder in front of the British embassy in New York on Sunday. The demonstration included large number of protesters from Pakistani community.
According to reports, the protestors also held placards on which slogans against MQM chief could be seen. The major portion of protesters included Karachities. Talking to media, Fazal Haq (head of PASNY) said that MQM founder is not a representative of Mohajir community but instead a leader of an organization.
He further declared that by making a statement against Pakistan, the MQM founder has disgraced the whole Urdu speaking community. The community leader, Ashraf Azmi told media, “I hail from Karachi and the anti-Pakistan slogan came out from my city. It is now my duty to chant Long Live Pakistan.”
A lawyer named Wahid Hussaini (who also hailed from Karachi) was of the opinion that the slogan against Pakistan is tantamount to terrorism against the state. Bronx community leader, Shabhir Gull called it a historic moment as Urdu speaking community completely rejected those who chant anti-Pakistan slogans. The protestors also demanded from the UK government to deport all those who hatch conspiracies against Pakistan.-DNA
