ISLAMABAD, September 6: Leader of the Opposition Syed Khurshid Ahmad Shah on Tuesday warned the government to stop accomplishing targets by affecting poverty-stricken people.
Speaking in National Assembly, Khurshid Shah lashed out at federation and said that elimination of load shedding and unemployment is only seen in the advertisements however, no practical step has been taken so far. He said that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) was criticized for imposing ten percent sales tax while the incumbent government has broken all the records of raising tax.
He denounced the government for not giving relief to people by reducing prices of petroleum products keeping in view the decreasing trend at international level. Opposition leader also said that issues cannot be resolved through indecent language and harsh words.
He said that Orange Line Train project is underway in Lahore but Jinnah Hospital is lacking necessary equipments and machines. Referring to Defence Day, Khurshid Shah paid tribute to the Shuhada and Ghazis of 1965 war who valiantly defeated the nefarious designs of the enemy. -DNA
