
LAHORE, September 21: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz on Wednesday took a decision not to interfere in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) upcoming Raiwind march, according to sources.
Interior Federal Minister Chaudhry Nisar and Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif mutually came to the decision today in a meeting held at Lahore.
The two senior PML-N leaders also decided that party workers should not retaliate in case of incitement.
The PML-N offices falling within the route of the PTI rally would remain closed during the protest.
The senior PML-N leaders discussed the political situation and possible march by the rival party to Raiwind.
The sources said that during the meeting the party leaders agreed that miscreants would be strictly dealt with, adding that PML-N workers have been strictly forbidden to react. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan had announced the date of Raiwind protests march to be Sept 30, asking party workers to make preparations from September 25. – Agencies
