ISLAMABAD, January 29: Minister of State for National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination, Saira Afzal Tarar has said that the government is committed to run the affairs of Pakistan Medical and Dental Council in transparent manner and in this regard the standard of medical services and education will not be compromised. She said while addressing a press conference at PM&DC here on Friday She highlighted various steps taken for the composition of PM&DC.
The Minister said that it is pleasant movement for me as I have fulfilled my promise made with the people of the country regarding making PM&DC and independent and transparent body. Now the newly elected body has started functioning to meet the desires of making PM&DC a corruption free organization besides ensureing efficiency of the newly elected body.
Minster said that by following long and short term strategy council will make efforts to ensure complete elimination of corruption. This will improve efficiency of the body making it at par with relevant organizations. She said that in order to restore the public confidence which has heavily been eroded over the years the Council may employ a robust mechanism for grievances redressal system at one hand.-PR
