ISLAMABAD, September 25: Prime Minister’s Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has demanded international investigations into attack on Indian Army Brigade Headquarters in Uri.
Talking to international media, he said that India always starts accusing Pakistan immediately after any attack without waiting for investigations. Therefore, he said, an independent international commission should be constituted to unearth the facts.
Sartaj Aziz said a forceful and peaceful freedom movement is going on in Occupied Kashmir these days, which has drawn attention of the entire world; therefore, any such attack does not benefit Pakistan or Kashmiris.
He said such attacks divert world attention from grave human rights violations being committed by Indian forces in occupied Kashmir.
Sartaj Aziz said it is not for the first time that India has levelled baseless allegations on Pakistan. He recalled that when US President Bill Clinton arrived on a visit to the Sub-continent, a major terrorist incident took place at Chattisinghpura in Occupied Kashmir in March 2000 in which a number of Sikhs were killed. The adviser said that as usual, India blamed Pakistan for the massacre, but later it was proved that India had itself perpetrated the killings. -DNA
