Unprecedented public protest in occupied Kashmir after martyrdom of young freedom fighter Burhan Wani has entered in third month. This time it is no usual business! Uninterrupted curfew and brutal use of state violence speaks about some thing meaninfully serious. Though sane voices opposed Modi regime’s violent strategy and frequently suggested political engagement to defuse the situation but unfortunately BJP leadership has no desire to seek peace while dealing with the minorities specially the Muslims. When it is a matter about Kashmir then extraordinary anti Pakistan rhetoric further multiplies the negativity. Indian decision makers are not ready to understand or realize the Kashmiri masses’ strong urge for freedom. State sponsored terrorism and human rights violations stretched over decades have actually left no space for Indian state in hearts and minds of Kashmiris. This blood soaked reality is not acceptable to Modi regime and like minded extremist circles . As the situation is extraordinarily unusual and serious in occupied Kashmir, so was the response of Pakistan which kept gradually ascending towards serious exposure of Indian atrocities. Though critics always demand a more aggressive pursuance of Kashmir issue from Pak foreign office which allegedly never rises above the customary statements .Recent unrest in Kashmir naturally compelled Pak government to raise the tone to a matching level. PM Nawaz Sharif’ speech at UNGA was exceptionally good on account of Kashmir issue. It really created a desired impact and served as a morale booster to oppressed Kashmiris. On one hand the speech was remarkable about Kashmir issue but on the other hand it lacked miserably on highlighting the multiple security threats being faced by Pakistan from India. There are clear and present dangers. Indian sponsored terrorism is an undesirable reality. RAW connections with TTP and Baloch separatist militants are no more a mystery. Khal Bhoshan Yadev and many other terrorists arrested by Pak LEAs have divulged sufficient information about Indian venomous designs. Unexpectedly, PM’s speech had no mention of these important aspects. India in collaboration with USA, has been pursuing vigorously to build a case against Pakistan for sponsoring X-border terrorism. There had been joint declaration of both countries openly charging Pakistan for terrorism. Indian diplomatic offensive is aimed to malign Pakistan in X-border terrorism. Sadly, despite having a clear judgment of Indian designs, the speech at UNGA neither presented a case expressing Pak concerns nor exposed Indian abhorrent designs. A big opportunity was missed and a great space was left for India which is all set to maneuver in this space against Pakistan. Uri attack obviously provided another bashing opportunity to Indian hawks. Indian PM Narinder Modi alongwith defence and interior ministers came out with traditional fiery statements and threats of military action against Pakistan. Modi is shouting like a ‘B grade’ movie villain. Indian media is meaningfully unanimous in creating war hysteria. Pakistan is mounted on Indian nerves. Pakistan should adopt a cautious approach in assessing the situation. No one should remain in this illusion that India will not attack Pakistan. Extremist Hindus and prejudiced elements are ruling India. A recognized terrorist involved in the Muslim genocide at Gujrat has managed to sit at PM’s chair. Modi being an ideological worker/member of BJP/RSS believes in violence, killings, rape and hatred. Recent unprecedented Kashmiri unrest, prolonged curfew, brutal state violence, Uri attack and subsequent media hype against Pakistan warrant a well thoughtout strategy to enhance Pak security. Dialogues and political engagement will never work with India. Modi seriously lacks political wisdom. Despite being a political stakeholder in puppet occupied Kashmiri government, BJP eventually brought the valley to a deadly situation. Allegations on Pakistan will never change the ground reality in occupied Kashmir. Modi has more deadlier plans in his bag to deal with the situation. First, blaming Pakistan for Kashmir unrest. Two, surgical strikes or a sudden military attack on Pakistan. Three, declaring Pakistan a terror exporting state. Four economic strangulation, diplomatic, isolation, military destruction and use of water as weapon . CPEC’s sabotage is one of the major objectives of Indian sponsored proxy war. Modi’s real intent is alarmingly venomous, deadly and coercive in nature. A good speech doesn’t mean that the whole job is over. A serious situation awaits some really serious actions on part of the rulers. Hopefully, the state affairs will move beyond the verbal claims and impressive speeches.
