Image result for Saarc SummitISLAMABAD, September 28: Continuing its rhetoric and conspiracies to isolate Pakistan, the Indian media on Wednesday claimed that Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Bhutan have joined India in boycotting the annual SAARC Summit scheduled to be hosted by Islamabad in November.
The decision of the four countries of the eight-member grouping not to attend the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) summit would lead to its collapse. The other members are Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
Earlier on Tuesday night, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi decided not to attend the SAARC Summit in Islamabad. In response to Uri attack, the puzzled Indian government has made two poor diplomatic moves in the past two days.
On Monday, Modi chaired a review meeting to discuss the the 56-year-old Indus Water Treaty between the two nations and has summoned another meeting on Thursday, 29 September to review the Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status to Pakistan given under a World Trade Organization agreement.
India has accused Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Muhammad for the Sept
18 attack near the town of Uri in Occupied Kashmir that has claimed lives of 17 Indian soldiers.
Pakistan has strongly rejected Indian allegations of its involvement in Uri army base attack, saying that such accusations were tactic to divert world attention from Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir.
Earlier, Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz said that Islamabad is preparing a dossier containing evidence of India’s involvement in terrorist activities in Pakistan, the Radio Pakistan reported.
He said the dossier containing confessional statement of Indian agent Kulbhushan Yadav and other undeniable evidence will soon be dispatched to the world leaders.
To a question, Sartaj Aziz said India cannot revoke Indus Water Treaty unilaterally. Pakistan will also sensitize the world on India’s water aggression.
He pointed out if Kashmir is an integral part of India, why it has deployed seven hundred thousand troops there to suppress the voice of the Kashmiris. -DNA
