Clouds of uncertainty are thick! phrase is not only valid for Pakistan rather fits to compete South Asian region which feels these effects . Sino-USA tension is taking multiple shapes and the most significant one at regional canvas is Indo-Pak escalation growing with each passing day. Unprecedented rising of Kashmiri masses for freedom has met the usual Indian wrath. This time it is really unprecedented as the curfew prolongs to over three months duration. Occupied Kashmir could not celebrate Eid-ul-Fitar and Eid-ul-Azha. Kashmiris were neither allowed to offer Eid Prayers nor they could gather for Jumma Prayers. As per available figures more than 120 Kashmiris were brutally killed by occupied forces which even did not spare kids aging between 10 to 12. A large number of victims have lost vision due to abhorrent use of pellet guns. There is a brutal pause in routine life. No business, no education, no religious gathering, no cultural or recreational activity is taking place in occupied Kashmir. Whenever Kashmiris break the curfew it is either a funeral of a ‘Shaheed’ or the crowd chants slogans of freedom. The spirit and momentum is unprecedented. But unfortunately the response or meaningful silence of world community is unprecedentedly low too. It is a proven fact that diplomatic support is always conditioned with mutual interests instead of merit of the issue. Kashmir is the right example of this bitter reality in present scenario. Though, Pakistan is continuously raising voice for Kashmiri masses but critics still demand more vigor and purity of intent. Leaving this matter here, let’s focus upon the causes of regional instability. Indian rigid stance and highly violent approach towards Kashmir freedom movement has spoiled the environment. This unrealistic policy coupled with baseless allegations on Pakistan for sponsoring X-border terrorism leaves no scope for restoration of peace. Post Uri attack war rhetoric and false claims of ‘Surgical Strikes’ though earned extra ordinary embarrassment for India but for Pakistan this is neither a time to jubilate nor to relax. Indian intents are obvious! There was an undeniable effort to provoke Pakistan at LOC, for a limited war. Reasons are understandable! Pak armed forces are engaged at internal front in war against terror. Besides this, Western front is no more peaceful as India hand now pulls the Afghan strings to ignite the border skirmishes. India desires to engage Pakistan on multiple fronts. This strategy carries two destructive aims. One, coercion of Pak defense capability. Two, fetching some breathing space for those terrorists who are strategic assets of ‘Ajeet Doval’ and presently in a dysfuctional state due to military operation. On diplomatic front, India is persistently targeting Pakistan on account of terrorism. Her alliance with USA aims at a larger regional canvas and understandably Pakistan now stands in the opponent court. American backing to India under these circumstances is not at all surprising. It is a time to stand firm and respond with diplomatic vigor. Pakistan has actually moved all the best assets to defeat the terrorism. Unfortunately, our foreign office and few dubious media quarters have started weeping about ‘Pak Diplomatic Isolation’. There is a need to view these developments in true perspective. While Pakistan has a strong case to present against India on account of X-border terrorism, state sponsored terrorism in occupied Kashmir and Hydro terrorism. Why these dubious figures are silent about successes of Pakistan in war against terror? There is a dangerous synchronization in recent dubious events. Suddenly a fabricated story proliferates the Indo- USA anti Pakistan theme line. Thereafter a biased circle of ‘Self Styled Columnists’ start writing against Pak army and ISI while raising a falsely over exaggerated concern about Pak isolation. Present undesired situation appears as a great test of wisdom for political leadership. Silence, unclear stance and indecisiveness will no more work. Leadership should justify her credibility by taking the lead role in such times of crises. Nation demands a unified stance and harmonious progress between Civil-Military leadership on vital security issues. Obviously, in a democratic system issues onus of responsibility finally rests with the political leadership. Here in our case the leadership has yet to prove her metal in many fields.
