nafees-zakariaISLAMABAD, October 16: Pakistan has called for immediate world attention to stop genocide by India in Occupied Kashmir and release of Hurriyat leaders.
In a statement in Islamabad, Foreign Office spokesperson Nafees Zakaria said the constantly deteriorating humanitarian situation in Occupied Kashmir is a matter of grave concern to the people and government of Pakistan.
It has been one hundred days since the extra-judicial killing of Kashmiri Youth Leader Burhan Muzaffar Wani that Indian Occupation forces have been indulging in crimes against humanity in the held valley.
The spokesperson said over one hundred and fifty innocent Kashmiris have been martyred in cold blood while over fifteen thousand injured.
He said around one thousand people suffered from eye injuries due to merciless use of pellet guns, which has also rendered many people completely or partially blind.
The spokesperson said prolonged detention of Hurriyat Leaders in the inhuman environment is a serious violation of human rights.
Meanwhile, in an interview with state owned radio, Foreign Office Spokesperson said Pakistan is effectively pleading Kashmir issue at international level.
He said India wants to divert attention of the world from human rights violations in Kashmir by using different negative tactics. The spokesperson said Pakistani and Kashmiri Diaspora have appraised the human rights organizations in the world about Indian brutalities in the occupied valley.-DNA
