- Says 2018 too far, Nawaz will have to be accountable on Panama leaks just now
ISLAMABAD, October 19: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan has said that he has no issues with the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), but more information on the project should be revealed.
He was speaking to journalists on Wednesday outside his Bani Gala residence. “All of Pakistan wants CPEC. But the PML-N government has signed MOUs without revealing its details.”
He lamented that mystery surrounded the CPEC project and its details were being hidden by the government.
The PTI chief spoke at length over the issue of Panama Leaks and allegations made against the prime minister in it.
He said that the government was raising hue and cry of his London flat which cost Rs10 million. “I bought that flat after playing cricket for 13 years. How did Hussain Nawaz buy a Rs 6 billion flat while he was student,” he said.
He said that he had knocked doors of several institutes including the Supreme Court for justice, but to no avail. “What option do we have but to make it to the streets?”
He said that the prime minister’s companions are scared of accountability. “Mian Sahib if you have not stolen anything why are you scared of accountability.” Imran Khan has said 2018 is too far and Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif will have to be answerable on Panama Leaks just now. ” Nawaz Sharif is under some delusion that people will forget Panama leaks corruption on making roads and cutting ribbons by him. 2018 is too far . Nawaz Sharif will have to render account just now”, he said. He alleged that PML-N walas are making development in the country for serving their personal interests and filling their London accounts rather than for Pakistan because their development is meant for making personal gains. -Agencies/Online
