LAHORE, October 23:Army Chief General Raheel Sharif has said says Operation Zarb-e-Azb has played a vital role in elimination of terrorism from the country.
He was addressing the concluding ceremony of International Paces Championship games in Lahore on Sunday evening.
Terming operation Zarb-e-Azb as a big example of peace for the entire world, Army Chief said the operation has resulted in peace and stability not only in the country, but also in the region. The Army Chief said that as a result of operation Zarb-e-Azb Pakistan is on the path to progress. The Operation has brought prosperity in the tribal areas, he said. Army Chief extended his gratitude to players, who participated in games.-Agencies
