ISLAMABAD, October 25: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan called the Prime Minister a ‘security risk’ for the country adding that every time his party plans to launch a protest something happens in the country.
He was speaking to journalists on Tuesday outside his Bani Gala residence.
He questioned the government over the steps it had taken after the Quetta Civil Hospital Attack in which over 70 people mostly lawyers lost their lives. “Terrorism and corruption are linked to each other,” he said.
He added that the PTI has suspended all activities today to mourn the victims of the attack on a police centre in Quetta on Monday in which 61 security personnel were martyred.
Speaking about a report in Dawn newspaper which highlighted a rift between the army and civilian government he said, “Why have informants of the security leak not been revealed? The Mir Jafar and Mir Sadiq of this country should be revealed.”
He claimed India was involved in creating chaos in Pakistan to sabotage moves against corruption. “A new doctrine has originated in India which aims to implode Pakistan because they have failed to defeat us militarily. The PTI chief said Pakistan’s nuclear-armed arch rival did not want an inside political reform movement to succeed. “Whenever we plan to launch a reform movement against corruption in the country such terror attacks happen.
Meanwhile, Imran Khan along with Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other party leaders arrived in Quetta to visit the injured of blast at Civil Hospital.
Talking to media after visiting the hospital, Chairman PTI said on Tuesday I’ve come to Quetta to show my solidarity with the people, not just the security forces. We are together with the people of Quetta and the aggrieved families.
I will not put the blame of Quetta blast on anyone until the investigation is completed, says Imran.
He further said that whoever these people are, they are not just religion’s but also humanity’s enemies. Whoever these terrorist organizations are, we as a united nation will defeat them.-Agencies
