Some of the federal ministers and leaders of the (N) League have been quite notorious for making highly irresponsible, provocative and unwarranted statements against the Establishment which are bound to create bad blood among the state institutions .Why are we forgetting that the Establishment has been rendering untold sacrifices to safeguard the territorial integrity of the country for the last so many years? The prime minister had better take urgent notice of them if these statements are being issued without his blessing. He must be aware of the age old adage that a stupid friend is more dangerous than a clever enemy. In the presence of such idiot friends he certainly doesn’t need any enemy. The Johnnies who have been making such statements seem to be more loyal than the king. The earlier they are asked by the PM to shut up and hold their tongue, the better.
The people of this country today love their army and its chief more than their life. They have profound respect and affection for the brave soldiers of this country who are shedding their blood so that we may live. We sleep peacefully at night because our armed forces are awake round the clock to protect our honour and property .The common man naturally feels offended if some politician open his mouth against those who are fighting off terrorism so gallantly.
POSTSCRIPT: The NAB has reportedly suggested to the government to write words like SAY NO TO CORRUPTION on the cigarette packets and medicine packs. One doesn’t understand what was the big deal in it? Words like SMOKING KILLS are being written on every cigarette pack since long. Has it brought down the number of smokers in the country?
The NAB’s suggestion would be laughable were it not so pathetic. Corruption cannot be rooted out through such cosmetic steps. It require surgical operation to weed it out from our society in which it has spread its tentacles far and wide.
