- Khan hopeful of good news in next hearing of Panama case
ISLAMABAD, November 10: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday said, “The government’s investigation committee formed to probe Newsgate scandal is not acceptable to him under any circumstances.”
It should be mentioned here Imran Khan presided over an important meeting to discuss multiple issues. Voicing serious reservations over Newsgate probe committee, Imran Khan claimed the investigation committee can never make a right decision.
The PTI chief held consultations with legal experts in connection with Panama Leak case and Newsgate probe committee. Meantime, Imran Khan sent for a copy of petition that Sheikh Rashid filed at Supreme Court of Pakistan. Also, the PTI leaders reviewed a World Bank report in the crunch meeting.
Meanwhile, a meeting of the media strategy committee of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf was held at Imran Khan’s residence in Bani Gala.
The meeting was chaired by Imran Khan and attended by Asad Umar, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Naeemul Haque, Shireen Mazari and some other leaders of the party.
Imran Khan expressed his hopes for good news in the next hearing of Supreme Court.
PTI Chairman also urged the party leaders to present party’s point of view during talk shows. In addition, he also discussed some of the aspects of Panama case in the meeting with his party leaders.
Imran expressed at the occasion that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf would pursue the case in Supreme Court with full attention. -DNA/NNI
