KARACHI, November 11: Pakistan People’s Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Friday took exception to federal government’s decision of appointing governor Sindh without the provincial government’s consent and accused the prime minister of protecting his “kingdom”.
Bilawal expressed his opinion via tweet saying, “Appointing new governor without even a courtesy call to Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad or CM Sindh – Trying to preserve his Badshaahat.” The provincial government of Sindh has also expressed its dismay over federal government’s ‘unilateral’ of appointing governor.
Former Chief Justice Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui sworn in as the 30th Governor Sindh on Friday (today) after he replaced Dr Ishratul Ibad from the position after 14 years. Chief Justice Sindh High Court (SHC) Syed Sajjad Ali Shah administered the oath at a ceremony held at the Governor House on Friday.
The decision to remove Dr Ibad from his position was taken during a meeting between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and President Mamnoon Hussain in Islamabad recently after which a formal
