Some body should advise Bilawal to be temperate in the use of language against his political adversaries. In the same manner those of his political foes who are older than him in age and have gone long in the tooth in politics should also show discretion in their political statements. It is unfortunate that instead of discussing issues, our politicians are busy in the character assassination of one another which has polluted the political atmosphere of the country. The media, particularly the electronic media should also stay its hand from highlighting those portions of their speeches which smack of undignified words against one another. Such speeches should not be blown out of proportions which pollute the political atmosphere of the country.
POSTSCRIPT: Justice (retd)Saeed-u-Zaman has had a distinguished record as a judge and no doubt he is man of impeccable financial integrity also but let us be frank. Age is not on his side. He is on the wrong side of 75. To be more precise, he is pushing eighty. Besides, he is of frail health. That is the precise reason why many eyebrows were raised when he was appointed on the gubernatorial office in Sindh. It would be very difficult for him to do justice to his job which is very demanding. Syed Qaim Ali Shah was removed by the PPP a couple of months back from the chief minister ship precisely for the reason that he was octogenarian and had started showing signs of dementia. The federal government has now appointed a person who is about to become eighty as governor of the same province. Couldn’t Nawaz Sharif find a young energetic person for this job in the entire Sindh?Surely, there are many young loyalists of Nawaz League waiting in the wing for largesse from Mian Nawaz Sharif. He could have picked any one out of them for the job of Governor Sindh.
