ISLAMABAD, November 18: Panamagate Case is not only the case of Imran Khan alone but also of twenty crore people of Pakistan.
Former Chief Justice of Pakistan, Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry in an interview with ARY News on Friday said undoubtedly Panamagate Case is biggest case in the history of Pakistan. He dispelled the impression that ‘Pakoras’ are sold in the newspapers. He said several cases in Pakistan’s history were constituted on the basis of press clippings. Elaborating his view point, he said that case against National Awami Party was initiated on a report published in the newspapers. He said that most of the cases come to the fore through newspapers. He said that Panama Leaks issue also came to public notice through newspapers and people came to know that public wealth has been looted.
He said that when PMs Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Yusuf Raza Gilani and Pervez Ashraf can appear in the court then why not Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif can be summoned to the court.The former Chief Justice said that law of evidence allows that the newspaper material can be produced in the court of law as an evidence. He said that since the PM’s name has been mentioned in the Panamagate he is no more ‘Sadiq And Ameen’-Monitoring Desk
